Any vitamin/supplement recommendations for better hair?

I'm afraid persistent stress is causing me to lose some. I am looking bad lately. Age isn't helping matters.

I'm trying to sleep more but with my f'ed up work situation I don't sleep very well, regardless of how early I turn in. Nowhere near enough green vegtables in my diet, either, I'm embarrassed to say.

Do you have any recommendation on vitamins or supplements that might help my hair out some? Thanks for any info...

Get a B-complex capsule with the little granules or powder. It must include at least 50 mg pantothenic acid, PABA, choline and inositol plus the usual suspects (i.e. B1 B2 B6 B12 etc.). Take two per day with food. Best if you also take Brewers yeast - as much of the stuff as you can tolerate (it is truly the most nutritious food on planet earth bar none). Add 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil per day and 500 mg of Vitamin C. Find the most gentle shampoo you can find and wash your hair as infrequently as tolerable with very little shampoo. Get a good multimineral supplement which includes selenium. Add eggs to your diet - nature's highest quality protein source rich in methionine.

You should see dramatic improvement in your hair, possible restoration of natural color and possible regrowth, in about 2 weeks.

Biotin : 1,000 - 2,000 mcg (1-2 mg) per day, plus what the good doctor has recommended looks pretty good...

Don't know what GreenSpirit is talking about him being a quack. Not often a doctor will recommend something other than pharms...

Rosemary oil. Massage it into the scalp.

Viagra was originally developed and tested as a hair restorer. It was only during the hair test trials that they learned it had other uses. Might be worth a try. If it doesn't help your hair, you may be too preoccupied to worry about the hair problem! :36_3_12:

Just go high and tight. Side benefit is you throw out the shampoo and combs and stuff.

Viagra as hair restorer? First time I've heard that. Are you thinking of Minoxidil? Viagra was initially trialed as a blood pressure medicine. When patients starting telling their doctors about their new-found erections the Pfizer scientists realized that they had stumbled upon a potential winner. At least that's the story a urologist colleague told at a medical conference. Apparently, Viagra is somewhat selective in dilating the small arteries to the penis.

What Mamboni suggested sounds good. You should also add Blackstrap Mollassses.

Mamboni , Drumblebum, Rebel Yar, George Spelvin gave good advice.
MSM is good, too. ( I love rosemary oil and use it everyday ! )
(Applying oils externally speeds up the growth in addition to taking
your nutrients internally )

Mamboni's a doc ??? No way. I need to read more around here.
In the US ? M.D. ??

Greenspirit mind is preoccupied with the worries of eating cat poop soon.

Rememba ???

One of my alternative health newsletters, Dr. Bob Livingston, is excited about Health Resources, Advanced Hair Formula. He says his hair and his son's hair has started to grow back. I love this guy and trust him. I can send you the pdf file of the newsletter if you'd like.
